A Brand new Malware Hits Google play store named “BadNews” was found to be infected a 32 Apps.Lookout,A antivirus company and for Android applications security has found out that 32 apps from 4 Developers account have been infected. The malware been hidden from the advertising network.The malware maker have created fake AD network to circulate the Malware.
It is found out that if the malware is installed it is sending fake notifications inorder to install them malware applications.The malware sends the IMEI number of the Victim to the server.Lookout stated that malware apps are also sending premium sms malware to the victims.The apps are russian orgin mostly likely target russian based victims.It been implemented the fake network ads.
All though google has taken down all the 32 apps which have been affected by this malware.It doesn’t mean the developers have done this with malicious intentions but they have used these ad networks without doing a proper check.The downloads were estimated over 2 Million but figures suggest it might goes upto 9 Million.
